1 مليون [lower-alpha 1] Earth will likely have undergone a بركان هائل eruption large enough to erupt 3,200 km3 of magma; an event comparable to the نظرية كارثة توبا 75.000 years ago.[8]
2 مليون Estimated time required for شعاب مرجانية ecosystems to physically rebuild and biologically recover from current human-caused تحميض المحيطات.[15]
2 مليون+ The غراند كانيون will erode further، deepening slightly، but principally widening into a broad valley surrounding the نهر كولورادو.[16]
10 مليون The widening صدع شرق إفريقيا valley is flooded by the ولاية البحر الأحمر، causing a new ocean basin to divide the continent of أفريقيا[7] and the الصفيحة الأفريقية into the newly formed Nubian Plate and the الصفيحة الصومالية.
Estimated time for full recovery of تنوع حيوي after a human-caused انقراض الهولوسين، if it were on the scale of the five previous انقراض جماعي.[17]

Even without a mass extinction، by this time most current species will have disappeared through the background extinction rate، with many فرع حيويs gradually evolving into new forms.[18] (However، without a mass extinction، there will now be an الأزمة البيئية تتطلب ملايين السنوات من الإصلاح.)

50 مليون The كاليفورنياn coast begins to be اندساس into the خندق ألوتيان due to its northward movement along the فالق سان أندرياس.[19]

Africa's collision with أوراسيا closes the حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط and creates a mountain range similar to the هيمالايا.[20]

The جبال الأبالاش peaks will largely erode away،[21] weathering at 5.7 Bubnoff units، although topography will actually increase as regional وادs deepen at twice this rate.[22]

50 - 60 مليون The روكي الكندية will erode away to a plain، assuming a rate of 60 Bubnoff unit.[23] (The Southern Rockies in the United States are eroding at a somewhat slower rate.[24])
Estimated time for Earth to naturally replenish its وقود أحفوري reserves.[25]
100 مليون [lower-alpha 1] Earth will have likely been hit by a meteorite comparable in size to the one that triggered the انقراض العصر الطباشيري-الثلاثي 65 مليون سنة مضت.[27]
All the continents on Earth may fuse into a قارة عظمى. Three potential arrangements of this configuration have been dubbed أماسيا (قارة)، نوفوبانجيا، and بانجيا الأخرى.[28][29]
400–500 مليون The supercontinent (Pangaea Ultima، Novopangaea، or Amasia) will have likely rifted apart.[29]
500–600 مليون [lower-alpha 1] Estimated time until a انفجار أشعة غاما، or massive، hyperenergetic supernova، occurs within 6,500 light-years of Earth; close enough for its rays to affect Earth's طبقة الأوزون and potentially trigger a انقراض جماعي، assuming the hypothesis is correct that a previous such explosion triggered the حدث انقراض الأوردوفيشي-السيلوري. However، the supernova would have to be precisely oriented relative to Earth to have any negative effect.[30]
600 مليون تسارع مدي moves the القمر far enough from Earth that كسوف الشمسs are no longer possible.[31]
The Sun's increasing luminosity begins to disrupt the دورة كربونات-سيليكات الجيوكيميائية; higher luminosity increases تجوية of surface rocks، which traps ثنائي أكسيد الكربون in the ground as carbonate. As water evaporates from the Earth's surface، rocks harden، causing نظرية الصفائح التكتونية to slow and eventually stop. Without volcanoes to recycle carbon into the Earth's atmosphere، carbon dioxide levels begin to fall.[32] By this time، carbon dioxide levels will fall to the point at which تمثيل ضوئي ثلاثي الكربون is no longer possible. All plants that utilize C3 photosynthesis (~99 percent of present-day species) will die.[33]
Carbon dioxide levels fall to the point at which تمثيل ضوئي رباعي الكربون is no longer possible.[33] Free oxygen and ozone disappear from the atmosphere. Multicellular life dies out.[34]
1 مليار [lower-alpha 2] The Sun's luminosity has increased by 10 percent، causing Earth's surface temperatures to reach an average of ~320 كلفن (47 °C، 116 °F). The atmosphere will become a "moist greenhouse"، resulting in a runaway evaporation of the oceans.[35] Pockets of water may still be present at the poles، allowing abodes for simple life.[36][37]
1.3 مليار حقيقيات النوى life dies out due to carbon dioxide starvation. Only بدائيات النوى remain.[34]
2.3 مليار The Earth's لب خارجي freezes، if the لب داخلي continues to grow at its current rate of 1 mm per year.[38][39] Without its liquid outer core، the مغناطيسية أرضية shuts down،[40] and charged particles emanating from the الشمس gradually deplete the atmosphere.[41]
2.8 مليار Earth's surface temperature، even at the poles، reaches an average of ~420 K (147 °C، 296 °F). At this point life، now reduced to unicellular colonies in isolated، scattered microenvironments such as high-altitude lakes or subsurface caves، will completely die out.[32][42][lower-alpha 3]
3 مليار وسيط (إحصاء) point at which the Moon's increasing distance from the Earth lessens its stabilising effect on the Earth's ميل محوري. As a consequence، Earth's true polar wander becomes chaotic and extreme.[43]
The Earth and Moon are very likely destroyed by falling into the Sun، just before the Sun reaches the tip of its عملاق أحمر phase and its maximum radius of 256 times the present day value.[45][lower-alpha 4] Before the final collision، the Moon possibly spirals below Earth's حد روش، breaking into a ring of debris، most of which falls to the Earth's surface.[46]
By this time the Earth and the Moon become تقييد مديed (if the system is not engulfed by the Sun)، with each showing only one face to the other.[47][48] Thereafter، the tidal action of the Sun will extract زخم زاوي from the system، causing the lunar orbit to decay and the Earth's spin to accelerate.[49]
1015 (1 كدريليون) Estimated time until the Earth is detached from its orbit around the Sun، due to stellar close encounters (if it is not engulfed by the Sun).[50]
1020 (100 كوينتيليون) الوقت المقدر حتى تصطدم الأرض بالقزم الأسود الشمس due to the decay of its orbit via emission of موجة ثقالية،[51] if the Earth is not ejected from its orbit by a stellar encounter or engulfed by the Sun during its red giant phase.[51]
