وحيدة ألفا لهرمونات البروتين السكري (بالإنجليزية: Chorionic gonadotropin alpha)‏ ويٌعرف أيضاً باسم CGA. هو بروتين يشفره لدى الاٍنسان الجين CGA الخاص به.[1]

الهرمونات البشرية التالية كل منها مثنوي مغاير (heterodimers) وتحتوي على وحيدات ألفا ووحيدات بيتا (الوحيدات تُسمى أيضا: سلاسل) ترتبط بروابِطٌ غيرتَساهُمِيّة:

  1. موجهة الغدد التناسلية المشيمائية (HCG).
  2. والهرمون المنشط للجسم الأصفر (LH).
  3. والهرمون المنشط للحوصلة (FSH)
  4. والهرمون المنبه للغدة الدرقية (TSH).

وحيدات ألفا في هرمونات البروتين السكري البشري الأربعة أعلاه متطابقة. أمّا وحيدات بيتا لتلك البروتينات البشرية الأربعة فهي فريدة لكل هرمون علي حده وتمنحه الخصوصية البيولوجية.

البروتين المشفر بواسطة هذا الجين هو وحيدات ألفا، وينتمي إلى عائلة هرمونات وحيدات البروتين السكري ألفا.[2]
