ليزلي رونالد جورج تريلوار

كان البروفيسور ليزلي رونالد جورج تريلوار ، (30 يوليو 1906.- 18 مارس 1985)[2] شخصية بارزة في علم المطاط والمرونة[3] ،.ومؤلف لعدد من النصوص المؤثرة.

تخرج ليزلي تريلوار في الفيزياء من كلية الجامعة في ريدينج عام 1927 ثم التحق بعد ذلك بشركة جنرال إلكتريك. حصل على الدكتوراه من جامعة لندن (درجة خارجية) في عام 1938.[3] بعد العمل في شركة جنرال إلكتريك، انتقل إلى جمعية أبحاث منتجي المطاط البريطانيين. كان يعمل لفترة قصيرة في مؤسسة أبحاث الاتصالات خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية.

إنتقل إلى جمعية أبحاث رايون البريطانية عندما تم تأسيسها في عام 1948. وكان زميلًا لجون ويلسون.[4]

حصل على وسام كولوين للخدمات المتميزة لصناعة المطاط ذات الطابع العلمي أو الفني أو الهندسي في عام 1961 ، وجائزة سوينبرن عن إسهامه المتميز في تقدم ومعرفة أي مجال يتعلق بالعلوم أو الهندسة أو تقنية.المواد البلاستيكية في عام 1970.[5] كما حصل على ميدالية وجائزة غريفيث.في عام 1972.

أصبح أستاذًا في علوم البوليمرات والألياف في معهد العلوم والتكنولوجيا بجامعة مانشستر في عام 1966.وتقاعد في عام 1974.[6]
