أدب السفر

أدب السفر، (بالإنجليزية: Travel literature)‏، يشمل نوع أدب الرحلات، الأدب الخارجي، والكتب الإرشادية، وكتابة الطبيعة، ومذكرات السفر. [1][2][3]

كان باوسانياس، أحد الأوائل في الأدب الأوروبي في كتابة مذكرات السفر، وهو الجغرافي اليوناني من القرن الثاني الميلادي.

في أوائل الفترة الحديثة، ساعدت مجلة جيمس بوزويل، في جولة إلى هبريدس، (1786)، في تشكيل "مذكرات السفر" كنوع أدبي.
