عاموس لوزاتو (3 يونيو 1928 - 9 سبتمبر 2020)، هو كاتب، وكاتب مقالات وطبيب إيطالي يهودي ولد في عائلة ذات تقاليد عريقة. كان والد والدته، دانتي لاتيس، [5] أحد أهم ممثلي الثقافة الإيطالية اليهودية في القرن العشرين. كان جده الأكبر لوالده، صموئيل ديفيد لوزاتو (شادال) ، [6] يُدرس في الكلية الحاخامية في بادوفا وكان ممثلًا إيطاليًا لـ "Wissenschaft des Judentums". عاش في فترة مراهقته في القدس حتى عام 1946. لأكثر من أربعين عام.

Dante Lattes (1876–1965) was an Italian writer, journalist, teacher of Hebrew language and literature at the Institute of Oriental Languages in Rome, as well as director of the Italian Rabbinical College. From 1896 he co-directed with Riccardo Curiel the Corriere Israelitico. In 1915, together with Alfonso Pacifici he founded the weekly Israel in فلورنسا, and in 1922 the monthly Israel Review, which he directed until his death. With his writings, Lattes was a guide and a teacher to three generations of Italian Jews.
Samuel David Luzzatto (1800–65) was an Italian historian, theologian, and biblical exegete, known, after the initial letters of his Hebrew name, as Shadal. Shadal was one of the pioneers of the Judische Wissenschaft movement, contributing many studies in Jewish history to learned periodicals and producing a critical edition of the Italian Prayer Book ^{[وصلة مكسورة]}.
