آلية العمل
انه يمارس تأثير قاتل للجراثيم عن طريق تثبيط جدار الخلية الحيوي، التي تعمل عن طريق تثبيط خطوة في transglycosylation من اصطناع الببتيدوغليكان.[3]
الاستعمالات
وقد تم تطويره بشكل سريع من قبل إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأميركية كعلاج للمطثية العسيرة التي تصيب الجهاز الهضمي والمقاومة للالمضادات الحيوية المتعددة.[4] على الرغم من أنه غير مستقر في مجرى الدم، يؤخذ عن طريق الفم فقط ضد التهابات الجهاز الهضمي.[5][6][7]
