أسد أحفوري

الأسد الأحفوري هو من السنوريات المنقرضة منذ قرابة 500 الف سنة.[1][2][3] عاش في العصر الجليدي وكان يتغذى على الماستدون والصناجة. وقد كان أكبر سنوري على مر العصور. أسنانه كأسنان الأسد تمتاز بقوتها ويمتاز بقوة عضلاته، مخالبه بطول خمسة سم، وهي قوية حسب رأي العلماء. وزنه من 180 كغ ويصل حتى 400 كغ، ويبلغ طوله تقريبا مترًا واحدًا ويصل إلى مترين اثنين.
