جيوستراتيجية

جيو استراتيجي حقل من حقول الجيوسياسة، نوع من السياسة الخارجية الموجهة بشكل أساسي بحسب العوامل الجيوسياسية التي تعلم، تقيد أو تؤثر التخطيط العسكري والسياسي. مثل الاستراتيجيات الأخرى، فإن الجيوستراتيجية تهتم بملاءمة الوسائل للغايات.;[1][2][3][4][5]

في هذه الحالة، موارد الدولة (محدودة كانت أم جمة) مع غاياتها (التي قد تكون محلية، إقليمية أو عالمية). بحسب غراي وسلون فإن "الجغرافيا أم الاستراتيجية."[6]

بعكس الجيوسياسيين، فإن الجيوستراتيجيون يشجعون الاستراتيجيات المترقبة، وتوجههم الجيوسياسي يكون من وجهة النظر القومية.
